Interactive CD-ROM
St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum

Silver Image Interactive, Inc., a multimedia production company, is under contract to produce a multimedia CD-ROM for the St. Augustine Lighthouse. The program will feature interactive games,
lesson plans for teachers, PDF files for easy printing, creative graphics, video interviews with the Lighthouse Archaeological Maritime Program (LAMP).
The main topics contained on the CD deal with sailing the seas; the port of colonial St. Augustine, pirates of Florida's east coast; finding, restoring and conserving shipwreck artifacts; and stories, superstitions and sea monsters of the seas.
Interactive educational games include navigating St. Augustine's Harbor, plotting shipwreck sites, finding a shipwreck with various underwater and navigational instruments, identifying different ships and parts of ships, and minding your colonial manners.
The program is financed in part with historic preservation grant assistance provided by the Bureau of Historic Preservation and partially funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
Silver Image Interactive, Inc. has previously produced two additional interactive programs for the
St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum that are located in interactive kiosks within the museum.
